Diablo-esque isometric action RPG for PC
Tower of Kalemonvo is a premium action game for PC from an indie developer who goes by osur. It's a 2D isometric ARPG adventure that is heavily inspired by the classic Diablo series. Players will climb a dark tower filled with monsters, trying to reach the top and unlock its secrets.
Much like Grim Dawn and Path of Exile, Tower of Kalemonvo features dark fantasy themes that will have players face all kinds of demonic creatures and abominations as they climb up a seemingly unsurmountable challenge. Newcomers can check out a demo version to get a preview of the gameplay.
The dark tower
Tower of Kalemonvo is essentially a dark fantasy action RPG adventure inspired by the first Diablo and Throne of Darkness. In it, you play as a warrior determined to climb the titular dark tower to plunder its treasures and unlock its secrets. However, this mysterious pillar is home to demonic creatures and randomly generated floors and rooms so no two runs will be the same.
The game boasts a classless character system letting you create different character builds based primarily on stats, which also dictate what kind of gear you can equip. Weapons and items feature their own unique combat arts and skills that you need to master to be effective during fights. Experiment with different combinations to come up with an effective play style for all kinds of enemies and situations.
What's more, resources are limited, with scarce potions and the appearance of vendors. There is also no portal back to town, so you're constantly dealing with the threat of permadeath with each run. Now, as of this writing, though, the game is not yet available and there is no specific release date either apart from a Q1 2025 window.
Ode to classic Diablo
To sum up, if you played the first Diablo game back in the day, Tower of Kalemonvo provides a nice dose of nostalgia with its inspired aesthetics, themes, and gameplay that you should check out if you want to have a similar experience today. Hopefully, the full game will be released sooner rather than later. Suffice it to say, keep an eye out for this one.
